This is the most interactive venue where visitors can experience the thrill of shipwreck exploration with interactive exhibits, see shipwreck treasure and recovered artifacts, and pick up treasure coins.
It also features SS Republic, a Civil War era side wheel steamer that sank in a hurricane while on its way to New Orleans in 1865. The delicate SS Republic artifacts have now been through TWO hurricanes and a shipwreck and are back on display in New Orleans.
It showcases some stories of the world's most famous shipwrecks, historical events and treasures. The attraction appeals to both adults and children and to advanced or amateur ocean explorers alike.
Hours : Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
