New Orleans City Park is a vast green space in the middle of New Orleans known for its many live oaks, over 1000 with 249 of them being registered with the Live Oak Society. The Park has a beautiful Botanical Garden and a Story land for children. It is a haven for waterfowl and wildlife. It is self supporting and receives no money from the city, state or federal government.
