Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival is a five- day festival in March recognizes Williams' deep connection to New Orleans. The festival depicts Williams' on- going influence in the literary community, as well as promotes the city's rich cultural diversity.

Various activities include live theater, panel discussions, walking tours, one- act play competitions, master classes and poetry readings. Events take place at different area galleries, theaters and other public locations in the New Orleans area.The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities has provided invaluable support to the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival throughout the years.

LEH also publishes the quarterly magazine Louisiana Cultural Vistas which focuses on the state's culture, arts and history, bringing the best in both visuals and text from Louisiana scholars, artists, photographers, fiction writers, essayists, and reviewers.

A reading of "Small Things," produced by the Film, Theater and Communication Arts (FTCA) Department of the University of New Orleans, was held at this year's festival, and a full production will be performed during next year's festival.
